The Fenimore Art Museum offers a mix of both permanent and changing exhibitions, including a large collection of items related to James Fenimore Cooper. The museum's collection includes works from the Hudson River School painters, folk art works such as quilts, weathervanes and decorated stoneware, more than 850 pieces of Native American art, historic photographs from Smith and Telfer, and a collection of life masks of famous Americans like Thomas Jefferson and John Adams.
